Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Who operates Zambadu

Zambadu is a registered business name operated by 1001667332 ONTARIO INC., an Ontario corporation. In this policy, “Zambadu,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to 1001667332 ONTARIO INC.

Scope

This policy applies to zambadu.com and to Zambadu apps that link to this policy, including ArrowMD and Pagefield. It does not apply to Spoken Text Reader, which has its own privacy policy.

If another Zambadu app begins using this policy and its data practices differ materially from what is described here, this policy will be updated before that app is released or before the changed data practice takes effect.

Privacy principles

Zambadu does not sell personal data. We do not use advertising networks in our apps, and we do not use personal data to track people across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We aim to collect only the information needed to provide, support, secure, and improve our products and services.

App content and device data

Covered apps are designed to keep user content on the device whenever practical. Unless an app states otherwise in this policy or in its App Store privacy information, Zambadu does not receive document contents, health information, audio, dictation, or other user created content simply because you use the app.

Some features may require access to files, the microphone, speech recognition, health information, or other operating system protected data. The app will request the relevant Apple permission when required. If a feature sends protected data off the device or makes it available to Zambadu, that use will be disclosed before the feature is released.

This website

zambadu.com does not use account registration, advertising networks, or third party analytics. The website includes a contact form for general enquiries, AI consulting enquiries, and accessibility concerns.

The contact form does not submit your message to Zambadu through the website. It prepares an email addressed to Zambadu and asks your device to open your email application. Zambadu receives the information only if you review and send that email from your email application.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and may process ordinary technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, request metadata, and temporary security logs. We do not use that information to track people across unrelated apps or websites.

Support and contact communications

If you contact Zambadu for support, consulting, feedback, an accessibility concern, or a privacy request, we receive the information you choose to send. We use this information to respond to you, investigate problems, provide requested services, and improve our products and services.

Please do not send private documents, health information, recordings, passwords, or other sensitive material unless it is necessary for the request.

App Store purchases

If a covered app offers purchases through the App Store, Apple processes the billing and payment information. If a future product requires Zambadu to receive personal data to verify a purchase, its product-specific privacy disclosure will explain that before release. Zambadu does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Service providers and third parties

Zambadu may use service providers for functions such as website hosting, security, email, and product distribution. We do not authorize service providers to use personal data for advertising or unrelated tracking. Any third party that processes personal data for Zambadu must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable law.

Cloudflare provides website hosting and security. Email that you choose to send to Zambadu is received through Zambadu's Google Workspace email service.

Data retention and deletion

Data that stays only on your device remains under your control. You can delete local app data or documents using the controls provided by the app, macOS, iOS, or the storage location you selected. Zambadu cannot delete content that it never receives.

Support messages and other information sent directly to Zambadu are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain necessary business records, protect our services, or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete personal information that Zambadu holds about you by using the website contact page and sending the prepared email. We will delete it unless we need to keep specific information for a legal, security, fraud prevention, or transaction record requirement.

Covered apps do not currently require a Zambadu user account. If a covered app introduces account creation, account deletion instructions and any related retention rules will be added before release.

Your choices and permissions

You can review or revoke app permissions in the Apple Settings or System Settings app. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working. You can also contact Zambadu to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion where applicable.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our apps, services, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before the changed practice takes effect.

Spoken Text Reader

Spoken Text Reader is not covered by this policy. Read the Spoken Text Reader Privacy Policy.

ArrowMD for macOS

ArrowMD is a local Markdown reader with raw Markdown source editing. It has no user accounts, analytics, advertising, app tracking, crash or diagnostic reporting, or cloud sync. It does not collect, transmit, or share personal data in its normal operation.

Markdown documents stay on your Mac in the location you select. ArrowMD reads and saves only the local files you choose through standard macOS file panels, using security-scoped bookmarks stored locally so it can reopen documents you have authorized. It does not upload or copy document contents to Zambadu services.

ArrowMD stores your selected speech rate and system voice preference locally on your Mac. Its Read From Here feature uses the built-in macOS speech synthesizer to read document text. The app does not record voice audio, use the microphone, or transmit document text to Zambadu or third-party services.

If you activate an HTTP or HTTPS link in a Markdown document, ArrowMD opens it in your default web browser. The destination website's privacy policy then applies; ArrowMD does not fetch the linked content itself.

ArrowMD Pro is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store. Apple's StoreKit handles the purchase, billing, and entitlement processing under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. ArrowMD checks entitlement state locally through StoreKit; it does not operate its own receipt-validation service, and it does not require a Zambadu account to purchase or use ArrowMD Pro. Zambadu does not receive or store transaction identifiers or entitlement data through an ArrowMD service. Purchases, support requests, and website use each have their own handling described elsewhere in this policy.

Pagefield for iPad and Mac

Pagefield is a study app for iPad, also usable on Mac through Designed for iPad. It shows PDF textbook chapters on a whiteboard with Apple Pencil notes, read-aloud, and export.

Books, notes, and handwriting stay on your device. Zambadu does not receive them. Pagefield has no user accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.

Read-aloud uses Apple's on-device speech voices.

Optional backup or export goes only to a folder you choose, such as iCloud Drive. Your chosen storage provider stores that copy under its own terms and privacy practices. Zambadu cannot see that copy.

Paid subscriptions are coming and will be handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Zambadu does not see your payment details.

If you email Zambadu for support, we receive only the information you choose to send.

Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be prepared through the Zambadu contact page. For general app support, visit the Zambadu App Support page.
